Trans Fatty Acid
A hybrid of lab-grown objects and organic decomposition, trans fatty acid presents a speculative sculpture of fat, bark, and crystal. Hovering between ecstasy, disgust, and digital fetish, the piece seduces through hyper-tactile excess.

Trans fatty acid explores the aesthetics of slipperiness, transience, and artificiality, a blend of rancid elegance and techno-desire. The sculptural forms, digitally assembled, reference animal fat, tree bark, and crystalline surfaces. The hyperreal rendering suggests a kind of synthetic material alchemy, turning industrial waste into auratic objects.
Through meticulous lighting, glassy transparencies, and the slow, almost erotic flow of textures, the piece creates a paradoxical material poetics: seductive and repulsive, precise and decaying. It evokes the tension between industrial perfection and organic breakdown, while asking what kinds of matter might become precious in a posthuman ecology.
Trans fatty acid is part of a series investigating synthetic states, toxic beauty, and speculative materiality, somewhere between food porn, lab aesthetics, and sculptural body horror.
