Economy Class
Reconstructed in 3D as a full-row seat model, this visual study juxtaposes modular functionality with fragmented symbolism, from inflight screens and seatbelts to lemons, liquids, and diagrammatic gestures.

A speculative design project exploring the aesthetics and spatial logic of commercial air travel.
In this speculative 3D project, I recreated a row of airplane economy class seats with high fidelity, complete with control units, seatback screens, plastic trays, and safety instruction visuals. The setup follows the industrial ergonomics of commercial aircraft seating, yet places them in a surreal environment marked by ruptured references: lemons in midair, transparent interface overlays, isolated terrains. The result is a modular mise-en-scène where design meets disruption. Textures were carefully crafted to evoke the tactile realism of woven fabrics, matte plastics, and brushed aluminum. Interface elements and visual metaphors, like safety diagrams or red marker lines, blur the line between informational utility and speculative absurdity. As a free project, it functions as both a material study and an experiment in how everyday infrastructures (like air travel) can be reframed as spaces of estrangement and visual poetry.
